Nominations
for ESA Council 2004–2006
Nominations are now called for election to membership
of the council of the Endocrine Society
of Australia for the period 2004–2006.
To
be nominated, one must be a financial member of
the Society, and be nominated by two financial
members of ESA. The primary requirement of a Council
member is to be prepared to set aside some some
time for the service of the Society and its members.
Nominations
for election to the Society must reach the
secretary of the ESA, Associate Professor Ross
Cuneo, 145 Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW 2000
by 5:00 pm, Friday May 14th 2004.
Further
details regarding the Council of ESA, and
procedures for elections to the Council
can be found at the ESA website: www.endocrinesociety.org.au/constitution.htm.
Reminder to Pay Your Subs
Welcome
Back! Late breaking news item - 64 ESA members
are financial again! Don’t you become
a “lost” ESA member? Ensure we
have all your correct details? ESA Membership
Subscriptions due by the end of April 2004
and you should have received your notice, please
contact the ESA Secretariat if you haven’t
received your dues notice – Please ensure
that the Secretariat has all the correct mailing
and contact details, particularly e-mail addresses,
as we rely on these to maintain contact with
you and keep you informed of ESA activities.
As I discussed at the last AGM, our auditor
has raised the issue of outstanding membership
subscriptions being approximately 30%. Therefore,
any member with outstanding dues was issued
with a reminder notice and I am pleased to
announce that this prompted a good response
and “recovery” of some lost souls.
The reminder process will continue, however,
once dues are more than 2 years in arrears,
you will be placed in the “deleted” membership
database. Regaining membership at a later time
would require you to pay all outstanding dues.

Catherine Coulter, ESA Treasurer
