Brian
Hudson Award Nominations The
inaugural Bryan Hudson Clinical Endocrinology
Award will recognize the best clinical
research presentation (oral or poster)
for the Annual Scientific Meeting by an
active member of the Endocrine Society
of Australia early in their career. It
will be made on an annual basis.
Eligibility:
Society members who are less than 45 years of
age, and who are current financial members.
Regulations:
- The
Bryan Hudson Clinical Endocrinology Award will
be judged
by a subcommittee of Council consisting of the
President, Treasurer, Secretary, or their delegates.
The award will be presented at the dinner associated
with the Annual Scientific Meeting to which the
awardee is invited and expected to attend.
- The
value of the award supported by Mayne Pharma
Australia is $3500.
- The
deadline for applications is the same as that
for abstracts to the Annual
Scientific
Meeting.
- The
application must be sponsored by a financial
member of the Society who may
write
a letter
in support of the application.
- The
work must have been performed predominantly in
Australia.
- The
applicant should submit a statement from the
department head, or head of research
group,
signed by all co-authors, which outlines
the applicant's role in planning the
design of
the project, experimental
and analytical work, writing and revision.
- The
applicant must spend the stipend in the advancement
of clinical research,
with
the proposed
expenditature being approved by the
ESA Council.
- The
subcommittee has a duty to apply the criteria
equitably to all applicants.
