ESA Seminar Meeting

ESA Seminar meeting 2024

We are pleased to be hosting the 2024 ESA Seminar Meeting in Darwin, Northern Territory.

The primary theme of the 2024 seminar will be pituitary medicine and we are delighted to welcome Prof Maria Fleseriu as our Plenary Speaker. Prof Fleseriu is Director of the Pituitary Center at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, USA, and a Past President of the Pituitary Society. She is internationally recognised for her contribution and expertise in a range of pituitary disorders and clinical research. Australian experts will expand on pituitary topics, with a focus on up-to-date, evidence-based clinical practice.

Additional symposia planned include an update in bone health and disease, advances in cardiometabolic endocrinology, the role of technology and other innovations in diabetes care delivery and case-based discussions on urgent endocrine management in the acute care setting. With a focus on emerging leaders in clinical endocrinology, as well as those with the wisdom of long experience, innovative approaches to clinical challenges from across Australia will be on display and we are confident you will enjoy this diverse and dynamic program.

We are also pleased to introduce new initiatives to the ESA Seminar in 2024. Focussed on the educational and training needs of advanced trainees, a dedicated course will be offered on the morning of Friday 26th April prior to the commencement of the Seminar program. The inaugural program will feature An Update in Obesity Medicine. The Early Careers Members will hold their professional update on Friday morning also. We will also be hosting a breakfast networking session dedicated to bolstering collaboration with our endocrinology colleagues in rural and remote settings.

The latest updates in Endocrinology will be offered as a hybrid conference with virtual attendance registration in addition to live streaming with real-time Q&A. A dedicated parent’s room will be available on site at this meeting.

Darwin boasts a variety of transport and accommodation options to suit all delegates; from those attending solo to those travelling with family.

The social program for 2024 will offer a unique travel opportunity commencing 25th April with a trip to Litchfield National Park, for those that may wish to arrive early. There will also be the Friday evening cocktail welcome function and the Saturday night conference dinner, enjoyed within a unique tropical outdoor setting.  Activities will be on offer for both the adventurous and for those seeking relaxation.

Bring your hiking shoes and sense of adventure to our annual gathering of colleagues for a most unique seminar experience.
